Interesting title.
It was thought up by Michael’s son, Thomas, who has come up with a few interesting titles. But more on that as the songs themselves appear.
Thomas wanted some toy guns and when his mother said no, Thomas decided to shoot her with his “Kill Fingers!” Ah kids, what will they think of next.
Killfingers the song, on the other hand, has turned into a Tarantino-esque retribution-filled, revenge and execution piece, very much in the vein of our 1994 single release, “Purekiller”. It is very similar in its condemnation of those who kill for greed, jealousy and all the other insignificant reasons people cold-tap each other. In the opinion of the protagonist in this song, there's only one good reason to kill others.
I wrote the lyrics for it from the perspective of someone who has decided that the law doesn’t apply to them, that the system fails good people daily, and he decides to deal out punishments to offenders himself. Its all pretty self explanatory stuff, nothing new, and good old-fashioned Defryme.
I have posted the demo of this track as I think its a nice indication to Defryme hard-liners that 'No!, we have not gotten soft'. I’ve also posted this one in particular as it is one of the few tracks that we have keys as a dominant instrument, and the keys in this demo are super-sweet (thanks to Glenno!)
I hope you like it :)
